Digging deeper in Düsseldorf

There are many obstacles ahead in electrification of Non Road Machinery (NRM). To prepare for the inevitable future, and in response to the demand for emission-free machinery, it is crucial not only to see what could be possible, but also to make sure it performs and keeps performing over time under the typical NRM circumstances. At this Forum Cleantron will give a paper about this subject. If you are interested, please contact us via www.cleantron.nl/contact

A breath of fresh air. Empowered by Cleantron

ZEM is a ground braking innovative electric vehicle that cleans the air while driving.

The goal of the Eindhoven University Team “Ecomotive” is to reduce the CO2 emissions during all life phases; Production, Driving and After-life.

One of the most innovative technologies implemented in Zem is the direct air capture technology (DAC). When the car is driving, air will move through our self-designed filters, where the CO2 will be captured and stored. To showcase the low emissions of Zem, a life cycle analysis (LCA) was performed. In these LCA calculations all three life phases were taken into account.

On the 21st of July 2022 the ZEM car was unveiled at an event at the Louwman museum in the Hague.

The ZEM car is powered by a modular battery system consisting out of multiple P4X 48V Cleantron Battery Modules. In order to make the battery swapping more easy also the Compact Lightweight Portable (CLP) Battery Pack can be applied. Like many years before also this year Cleantron is the battery partner of the Eindhoven University of Technology. https://www.tuecomotive.nl/tu-ecomotive-cleantron/

Cleantron designs & builds EU Battery Modules

In the European ALBATROSS project, Cleantron leads the Battery Module Design and will be Manufacturing the Battery Modules. Objectives of this cutting edge project are a 20% weight reduction to 222 kg. and a thermal management design achieving a 25% shorter battery recharging time. The battery will have an extended useful lifetime to at least 300.000 km. and an improved Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) of 20%.  Finally, innovative sensors and an advanced BMS will be combined with cloud-based AI techniques to come to a much greater understanding of pack sensorisation and thermal management. Above mentioned values are to be benchmarked against current EV’s.
